How can I get my dogs to walk on a leash without pulling on it so hard? They love to go for a walk but they end up walking me. I have tried a harness and that does keep them from choking themselves. You would think they would quit pulling if they were choking but no, it doesn't. Any suggestions that does not consist of hurting them?

Why is this cockatiel pulling out there other birds feathers? My mom has two cockatiels at her house. One of them is only a few months old and has just arrived about 3 weeks ago because of the death of another bird. The two old birds use to preen each other. The new bird gets preened by the other bird but the other bird pulls the feathers off of the new bird's head. The new bird makes painful screeching sounds but continues to move her head to be preened. Should my mom allow this to continue? And why is the old bird pulling the feathers all the way out?
